Celebration 500 - Guest Post from Kerrie of PishPosh and Polish

Hi Goddesses

Today's guest post is from one of my BPFF and fellow member of our Birthday Group, Kerrie.

Kerrie runs her own blog at Pish Posh and Polish, and  .... in a break with everyone else .... decided to do a mani based on one that I had done.   The girl did great!  Thanks Kerrie xxx

Hello lovely people! This is Kerrie from over at Pishposh and Polish. The wonderful Crumpet here is one of my best nail buddies and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pay homage to her! Debbie, was here when I first got into blogging, but she has given me support in things far beyond the world of polish too!

One of my favourite blog posts was actually part of an ongoing series over at The Crumpet and I have been meaning to try out for a while. When Debbie asked if I wanted to do a post, I knew then that I had to try the stained glass or mosaic nail art that she posted.  So here is my take.

For this manicure I used Barry M Black, Nails Inc Bluebelle, Nails Inc Berkley Mews, China Glaze, Blue Sparrow (neon), China Glaze Dorothy Who?, OPI Gone Gonzo! and Models Own Balearic Cool.

So following the steps that Debbie provided, I used Balearic Cool as my base colour (it actually took three coats as it is soo sheer yuck!) once it was dry I marked out my stained glass with a dotting tool with the black polish. Once this was dry I filled in the gaps with the assortment of polishes. Top coat of SV and you're done!

I wish that I had used a slightly different colour than Berkley Mews as it seemed a bit too dark and also I wish I had a holographic blue so I could pull this off in true Crumpet style but alas! However this is such a pretty and interesting way to do your nails and although you can do a more complex design on long nails it can be easily adapted for short nails like mine!

Anyway I hope you enjoy my manicure and feel free to stop at my blog and say hi and enjoy the great posts that The Crumpet has to offer! Thank you Debbie for letting me guest post (did I tell you this is my first?) and for being a wonderful friend! Until next time! Lots of love Kerrie!
