Hi Goddesses
As I mentioned earlier in the week, all these polishes from the Darling Diva Witchee Collection scream autumn at me, so it was no surprise that once again autumn nails were going to be the end result.
Again, I chose a leaf based pattern, and just as I did with The Arcanist, I again stamped with more than one colour.
I chose 3 Konad polishes, and picked the colours to show the leaves as they move through their decay - green, yellow and dark burgundyish.
The plate is Cici&Sisi 03, and this time, I put my polish on the plate in a variety of methods.
For the first few nails, I did my colours in stripes, to show the degradation of the leaves. Then, to mix it up, I added my colours in blobs, so that they blended a bit more on the plate. This is how the plate looked once it had been scraped -
I really love this technique. It's super easy, and if you're looking to take your stamping to the next level, it's a great way to experiment.
Hi Goddesses
I really didn't know what to call this one lol, so Day 4 it is!
When the idea first cropped up to have a Metal Week, I really thought I would end up with 5 manis like this - a random swatch with some bling on them! It's even the reason I got the very bling you see today lol, which was provided for review by Born Pretty Store. You can find the exact studs I used HERE (and don't forget to use my code to the left if you order!).
I love the drama of this mani. To be honest, I loved it more before I added the bling - so let's check that out first.
The base is Lilypad Lacquer Vamp-a-licious and it is the deepest darkest purple holo I have ever encountered. So dark, in fact, that the holo is quite hard to detect indoors.
This is deepest darkest decadent wine and velvet curtains and Victorian melodrama, all bottled and cooing huskily for some temptation! It was a one coater, which inspired the stamped nail.
The accent finger is China Glaze Angel Wings and I stamped with this lovely brocade image from CICI&SISI 03.
So, back to the metal. I blame Missy for making me want some proper hardware on my nails - and she always seems to be able to use it so expertly! As if the mani was made for it!
I wanted some designs that weren't just squares or circles and this wheel has a lot of interesting shapes in it. I was particularly drawn to these rings ... just because they're different.
Don't forget to check out the other ladies. Both of these products were sent to me for an honest review.
