China Glaze - QT

Hi Goddesses

Another one from the archives - yessssss, forgot to describe this one too before I took it off - so I am going to keep the words to a minimum on this one ( and yes, that WILL be a first, thank you very much - do I write too much, do I ?)

So this is the sister of LOL, and my feelings for it are exactly the same.  Flat texture, not enough action.  It does bend in the light, but this is not holo as we know it.

Colourwise this is a lovely deep rosy pink - and it looked very ladylike on, which just isn't me, is it :)

I decided although I LIKED it, I didn't LOVE it, and this now lives with my lovely friend Kerrie.  It's a good swap for this polish - she gets to university now!

Lol - here are some more photos - enjoy xx  :)

The 1st Ever Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge

The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge – Week 1

Week 1 – Breast Cancer Awareness

Hi Goddesses

Today sees the inaugural Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge J  Me and Claire from Purple Fairy Dust have decided to do a Challenge on Friday each week.  Why ?  well, I can be lazy, and having a theme I have to think about makes me better.

Also, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but everyone who has done the 31 Day Challenge has got better.  If you want to join in with us, you’re welcome to, just let one of us know on Facebook.

So, we decided we were both Hallowe’ened out, and probably a little under-supportive of Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Not that we did this intentionally, but I think we were both more focussed on raising awareness of October also being Depression Awareness Month.  So to set the balance right – here’s my Pink Challenge.

And whaddya know – it’s ALL about the firsts!  First PCF Challenge, first tape mani and first blingy tips – all in one post lol!

This started with China Glaze QT on all the nails.  This is a lovely holo with genuine warmth and quite a lot of gold.  It’s like how I always wanted Strawberry Fields to be.

This was then topped with a beautiful OPI called More Time For Me.  As a mummy I soooo identify with that name, but it’s also just the most lovely muted magenta.  Interesting fact – I used masking tape for my tape mani, and hey ho, it doesn’t like to keep a straight line.  Interesting, but in this case, it defined the mani, as I decided it then looked like the OPI had dripped onto the holo.

Finally some Funky Fingers on the tips in Sand & Stilettos. This is insanely glittery and holographic but became harder to work with as I moved through the nails.

And there you have it – Pink Frosted Cupcakes for Breast Cancer Awareness.  I don’t know about you, but these look good enough to eat to me.  Maybe I should go and get some breakfast …

Enjoy, and if you want to join in, let me or Claire know xxxx

J
